Degas is a quiet man, prefering to think before answering and taking time to enjoy the simple joys in life. He came to Pumpkin Hollow almost three decades ago, a studious newly wed eager to start a new life there. And a new life Degas built, with his own two hands. Together with Melly, his wife, they carved out a niche for themselves, staying involved with the Temple and its community events. Fellow worshippers became an extended family in addition to their own, a son and daughter welcomed a few years after they settled on the island.

Unfortunately a tranquil life until the end of his days was not meant to be. It's a reality that Degas still grapples with, though such thoughts and many others the man holds close to his vest. The mantle of Preacher was not taken lightly either, but truth be told he'd much prefer to spend time reading and offering a helping hand to those that might need than standing before a beleaguered flock constantly besieged by the strange happenings of their once flourishing town.
